Spend a day at Perdana Park Tanjung Aru!!


It was our first time and fluke for us to stay at Perdana Park.we never tought to be at there because our plan is want to go to tanjung aru's beach but we were stucked at perdana park after we saw there were crowded with many foreigners and local citizens.our heart was beated to know why the place was crowded with many peoples.we go to there to see what are the peoples looking for.from the sidewalk , we saw a colourful fountain . we cannot see it more clearly from the outside of the place.my heart beat more faster than ussualy.my friend drive her car through the carpark receiption booth.she park her car at the parking lot and we go to the colourful fountain to see it more near . we saw a wonderful water fountain . some people there call it as "the dancing water" because it squirt together with a rhythm which follow the music that playing at the speaker.we were stuned when we saw it.i will share to you more about this place.


  • An 18 acres built park located in Hone Place (the site for government quarters during pre-war 1930), Tanjung Aru.
  • Entrance and Parking fee are free at the moment (Will be charged soon as 50cen per hour for entrance fee).
  • Operational time is from 5am – 10pm daily.
  • Officially open by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak on 28 January 2011.
  • Officially open to the Public on 30 January 2011.

    • Musical Fountain
      • Starts at 7pm – 8:40pm nightly, every 30 minutes.
      • Duration for a show is 10 minutes.
      • Last show is at 8:30pm.

    • A Containerized Stage that could be used for Cultural Shows
    • Reflexology Footpaths
    • Exercise area
      • Red rubberized jogging track.
      • Fitness Machines.

    • A Clock Tower (stated at the Park’s main entrance)

  • Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman was the first to think of the idea to preserve the site as a heritage park and to provide green lung within the City.
  • Government’s objectives behind the design theme of the Park:
    • Provide a premier park in the city for the enjoyment of all ages of people to encourage better physical and emotional health.
    • Create an additional tourism attraction destination that will showcase the city’s rich history.
    • Provide better understanding of Sabah’s environment in order to resonate the historical values found at Hone Place and to evoke the feel of our rich rainforests.
  • Perdana Park was fully completed by Syed Faisal Syed Mohammad of JK Chartered Architect and Timatch Sdn. Bhd. (Datuk Victor S. Paul) in November 2010.
The information I got from another blog.You can go there with a public transport.Such as a bus,the cost from the city centre to perdana park is only RM1.60. I will show you how to get here from a map that I will upload later.Besides, there are interesting dining place . It located encounter to the musical fountain.while have a dinner , you will have a nice view from the musical fountain. Other than to see a wonderful musical fountain , you can have another activities. Such as joging,bring child to have fun at playground and relaxing mind while sit at the pole side.Among another attractions , there is the most attractive special about this place . This place is smoking free zone , you will never see a smoking visitor at the area of Perdana Park.
